Using the MSH-5

The MSH-5 was discontinued in May 2007.

The MSH-5 "Orange Crunch" is an electret condenser microphone that uses a 10mm cardioid capsule. Designed for use as a harmonica mic, it features built-in distortion and overdrive circuitry, and a tailored frequency response with a high-end rolloff above 8kHz. Use of a windscreen is required when close-micing harmonica.

The MSH-5 requires a phantom power supply of +18V to +48V with at least 3mA current available per microphone.
